Although her name means "Snow White," Shirayuki is a cheerful, red-haired girl living in the country of Tanbarun who works diligently as an apothecary at her herbal shop. Her life changes drastically when she is noticed by the silly prince of Tanbarun, Prince Raji, who then tries to force her to become his concubine. Unwilling to give up her freedom, Shirayuki cuts her long red hair and escapes into the forest, where she is rescued from Raji by Zen Wistalia, the second prince of a neighboring country, and his two aides. Hoping to repay her debt to the trio someday, Shirayuki sets her sights on pursuing a career as the court herbalist in Zen's country, Clarines.

Due to her rare hair color, Shirayuki gets a proposal to be a concubine of the foolish but famous prince Raji. As she cannot decline it, she escapes to the neighboring country. While traveling, she meets a boy named Zen, who accidentally gets injured, and she boldly cures his wounds. They become friends, and she finds out than Zen is actually a prince of that country, and he saves her from being taken by Raji. They later go to his palace, where she applies for the job of "Palace Pharmacist," to be able to go freely to the castle where Zen is.

The 2nd prince of the Kingdom of Clarines. He is in love with Shirayuki and has told his brother, Izana that he wishes to make her his wife.
Zen is an excellent swordsman and has a penchant for exiting out windows instead of doors and jumping down from high places.

Hair; Black
Working for Zen, Obi, is a strange (but lighthearted mostly). His first appearance is when he tries to frighten Shirayuki by shooting an arrow to a wall next to her. He tends to hide his face under a mask, which makes many people think of him as a bad guy. He is the only character with unknown motives for following Zen so far which makes him a rather mysterious character.
Name: Kiki Seiran (木々・セイラン)

Hair: Blonde
She is one of Zen's close Aides and an excellent swordsman. Her partner is Mitsuhide whom she likes to tease.
Both she and Mitsuhide notice Zen's shyness and interest in Shirayuki which they approve and support. She is cold and stern towards troublemakers and triflers but is kind to the people she respects.

Hair: Turquoise
He is one of Zen's close Aides. He was first introduced to Zen when he was 17 by Zen's brother, the first prince, Izana. Mitsuhide is one with an outgoing and honest personality. He shares a close relationship with Zen and can often be seen having a friendly banter with each other. He was once described as 'protective' by Kiki, another close aide, towards Zen.
Snow White with Red Hair is a great romance anime. There is a lot of drama in the anime. Shirayuki and Zen's relationship grows and ah I just fangirled when they FINALLY KISSED! I mean toke you long enough you know Zen!!! And then the love triangle I think it was season two?? Obi, Shiryuki and Zen love triangle like wowwww!! Anyway I 100000% recommend if you like romance anime's.
